Runoff is going strong, and the Animas will be off color and cold…but fish are still being caught.
Finding fish will require you to go big with your flies in the dirty water. Big, dark, and flashy streamers, and big juicy badonkadonk nymphs are your friend.
Caddis are hatching now. Caddis pupa, emergers, and even some dries should be in your box.

Nymphs: Flashback Pheasant tails 14-18, Hydropsyche Caddis nymph 14-16, Pats Rubberlegs 4-8, 20 Incher 8-10, Schmidts TB CDC Hare’s Ear 10-12, Cranefly Larva 6-10.
