Below the dam, fishing will be pretty good. Fish your favorite nymph rig with worms, leeches, attractor nymphs, and scuds.
The upper is fishing good but you gotta get up early, or hike far. This is not a secret location. For those heading into the Weminuche. Fish as far as you can hike or spend the night. Single dries, streamers, or dry/droppers are a solid way to fish this section.
Olive and Grey Scuds 14-16, Ray Charles, etc.
Chubbies, Amy’s Ant, and Stimulators 12-16, Morrish Hopper 8-12.
Parachute Adams and Rocky Mountain Mints 14-16.
Mr. Miller 12-14 Grey Elk Hair Caddis 10-14, and other Spruce Moth Patterns.
