Fishing Conditions
What it was isn’t what it is, and what it is isn’t what it will be. Got it? Ok, so the Animas was not fishing good, and then it started fishing good the past week or so. But now, we have snow, so that all could change.
Good midge hatches and a few BWO hatches were showing, and fish have moved out of the depths to eat emergers. Be on the lookout. Short nymph rigs, and even dry/droppers may be in order. Otherwise, a deep-running nymph rig will be the go-to
Streamer fishing has begun as well.
