Late winter, or early spring?  It’s hard to say with the weather fluctuations we have been having.  Midges may be out, same with ice.  Expect these cold temps to lock up some of the shadier areas.

Below McPhee, the gate is closed 3 miles below the dam.  Hiking will be in order if you want to make it to the dam.
