Fishing Conditions
The San Juan remains off-color, but that isn’t bad news; fishing has been good with rigs on the dirtier side. Think leeches, SJ worms, mops, and even eggs in tandem, or as a top fly followed by a flashy midge.
Sporadic dry fly fishing has been around with midges and BWOS. Streamer fishing is also an option.
Patterns/Bug
Junk flies: SJ worms, eggs, Bunny Leeches, Mayer’s Mini Leech, Chamois Leech, Mops in #10-16.
